For Parents of infants and Toddlers

From the Child Development Center

At Blessed Sacrament Academy

Almost 90 percent of a child’s brain is developed before age 5. That’s why we pay so much attention to earliest learning opportunities for children. The children we serve at the Child Development Center are ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

Free Local Learning Fun for Kids This Year

What’s learning-centered, free and fun? San Antonio’s museums and libraries offer free activities for parent-escorted kids and families.

Free at the Library

Every month, the San Antonio Public Library offers sensory learning Baby Time play for infants through 18 months old, Toddler Time for toddlers 18 months through age 3, and Story Time for toddlers through age 5.

Family Story Time (for ages 1-5 and caretakers) is also regularly scheduled at your local library branch. Find library branch locations and more about more free events each month at https://www.mysapl.org/Events-News/Events-Calendar. Or, call (210) 207-2500.

Free at the Museum

You won’t need to buy a ticket to visit San Antonio’s local museums during free visiting hours and days. The Witte Museum is free from 3-6 p.m. every Thursday. The DoSeum is free from 5-7 p.m. every first Monday of the month. The Institute of Texan Cultures is free from noon-5 p.m. the second Sunday of each month.
