Make Homemade Puzzles!

All you need is a pair of scissors, and the front of an empty cereal box. Cut the cereal box cover into a rectangular shape, and then cut out puzzle pieces – 3 to 4 pieces for young toddlers, and more for older toddlers.

Puzzles keep toddlers and young children entertained. And, even very young children learn while they play. They learn problem-solving skills and practice hand-eye coordination. They develop social skills when they put together a puzzle with others. Help them build self-esteem by praising them when they complete a puzzle – even if you helped!
