Parents Need Exercise, Too!
Take a tip from teachers.
Parents now teaching at home can boost their brain power and energy when they exercise regularly. The National Sleep Foundation reports that two hours of exercise each week also helps grownups reduce stress and sleep well – to wake up rested and ready for a new day’s challenges.
Exercise boosts kids’ brain power, too, so share simple, safe exercises with your toddler each day. Help your toddler get a head start on a healthy lifestyle. Young children also learn self-discipline when concentrating on learning exercise movements and the correct timing for each move. When your child masters a very simple exercise, demonstrate a more challenging one. Build your child’s confidence and enthusiasm to learn more by offering lots of smiles and praise for each exercise completed with you.
